The IEEE Student Branch at Yarmouk University, managed by the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, has been awarded the “High Performing Student Branch Award 2025” at the regional level of IEEE Region 8.

IEEE Region 8 covers Europe, Asia, and North Africa. The award is granted following an international evaluation process, which assesses the quality and impact of academic and practical activities carried out during 2024, as well as their alignment with IEEE’s global standards.

Dean of the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Dr. Mohammad Alzubaidi, emphasized that this recognition was the result of teamwork, dedication, and careful planning by the branch’s members. He noted that the students have demonstrated their ability to achieve unprecedented levels of excellence and leadership.

Dr. Alzubaidi expressed pride in Yarmouk University’s IEEE Student Branch and its affiliated societies, highlighting their growing ability to compete globally in technology and innovation.
