About Student Activities
At the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, we recognize that a truly enriching university experience goes beyond academic instruction. Student activities are a cornerstone of personal and professional development, helping students cultivate essential life skills, build meaningful connections, and discover new passions.
Through extracurricular engagement, students enhance their leadership, teamwork, communication, and time management abilities—skills that are not only valuable in the classroom but also vital in today’s competitive job market. Participation in student clubs, technical workshops, innovation competitions, volunteer efforts, and cultural events allows students to apply what they learn in real-world contexts and develop a well-rounded perspective.
The Faculty strongly supports such initiatives and provides the necessary infrastructure and guidance to help students bring their ideas to life. Students may request the use of available halls, classrooms, and other facilities to host events, meetings, or workshops. However, all requests must be approved in advance by the Faculty Deanship and coordinated through the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. For certain activities, particularly those involving broader university participation or external partners, additional approval may be required from the Deanship of Student Affairs.
By facilitating and encouraging extracurricular involvement, the Hijjawi Faculty aims to create a vibrant, inclusive campus environment where students are empowered to explore their interests, take initiative, and grow into well-rounded engineers and innovators. Before submitting a form, students should coordinate with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and ensure that all necessary approvals—from the Faculty Deanship and, when required, the Deanship of Student Affairs—are obtained in a timely manner.
