Yarmouk University IEEE AESS Student Branch, led by student Hassan Abu Sreis and supervised by Dr. Ola Al-Taani, has been awarded the 2025 IEEE AESS Student Branch Chapter of the Year Award as the best student branch worldwide. This award recognizes the branch's excellence in organizing and implementing technical activities in the fields of space and electronic systems.

This achievement reflects the advanced level of students at the Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology, their ability to transform volunteer work into tangible scientific and professional accomplishments, and their enhanced presence on the global stage.

The branch will be honored at the IEEE Radar Conference 2026 in the United States.
