Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology at Yarmouk University organized a field visit for a number of its students to the Jordanian Tractors and Equipment Company. The visit aimed to enhance the practical application of knowledge and connect academic concepts with the engineering work environment.
Students from the Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering departments participated in the visit, which was supervised by Dr. Muhammad Firas Al-Tamimi from the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Sinan Obeidat from the Industrial Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Zoubi from the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Dr. Ahmad Al-Momani from the Industrial Engineering Department.
The visit included an introduction to the company's operations in the heavy equipment and machinery sector, its key technical and engineering services, and a tour of the maintenance and after-sales service facilities. During the tour, students learned about the procedures for inspecting, operating, and maintaining equipment, as well as methods for improving its operational efficiency.
The supervisors emphasized the importance of such visits in enhancing students' readiness for the job market and enabling them to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application through direct exposure to the work environment of leading engineering companies. This visit comes as part of Al-Hijjawi College's approach to strengthening its partnership with industrial and engineering sector institutions, and opening wider horizons for its students to learn about future job opportunities in vital sectors within the Kingdom.
